Head Toss

Why do we throw our heads back when we laugh an extra boisterous laugh?

Because the joy is just too much to contain?

Because the energy is too much to hold in?

So throw it up and out?

Are we instinctively looking up to the “heavens”?

Is it a kind of opening of one’s spirit?  In the way that throwing our arms up outstretched is an open stance?

Is it some kind of instinctive response?  A reflex action?

It’s beyond me, but here I am doing it anyway- spontaneously out of control…

Dustin & Zach

Like most groups, my laughter club and most of my laughter programs, are usually 70 – 90% women.  Not always but often.

When men attend en masse, it can be a real treat, a great jolt; for they bring all their testosterone with them.  And if they’re loose and uninhibited enough, they can make my laughter club a really wild ride.

This was the case last week when I had almost 50 % men, all into it, laughing with all that male gusto for no reason at all.

A major shout out to Dustin and Zach for being of the younger generation of men unafraid of Laughter Yoga.  Just thinking of the fun they instigated has kept me in stitches for days.

Dustin saw the documentary “Happy” which features Laughter Yoga and sought me out from there.

Thanks guys!  Truly!  Never stop laughing – you’re beautiful!

My Father

I have wondered how much of my laughter I got from my father.

They say he loved life.  I remember how easily he laughed.  But he left this world too soon when I was too young, so I don’t know how to judge it.

From this photo I would say I got at least some of my laughter from him.  Or we fed off each other, laughing in our own unique way.  Either way we had a good time when we had life to share.

Happy Father’s Day Old Friend!
